Rāma's Exhaustion

भीषणे युद्धे रामः रावणेन सह दीर्घकालं अयुध्यत। रावणः बहुमस्तकः अजेयः इव प्रतीयत। रामः श्रान्तः चिन्तितः रणभूमौ अतिष्ठत्। सूर्यः अपि मेघैः आच्छादितः आसीत्। देवाः च विचारयन्ति स्म — "रामः कथं जयिष्यति?"

In the terrible battle, Rāma fought with Rāvaṇa for a long time. Rāvaṇa with many heads seemed unconquerable. Rāma, exhausted and anxious, stood on the battlefield. Even the sun was covered with clouds. The gods too were thinking — "How will Rāma be victorious?"
