काकः कलशः च

The Thirsty Crow
एकः काकः आसीत्। सः बहु तृषितः आसीत्। ग्रीष्मकाले सूर्यः अति उष्णः अभवत्। काकः जलं जलम् इति सर्वत्र अन्वेषयत्। परन्तु कुत्रापि जलं न अलभत। सः बहु खिन्नः अभवत्।
There was a crow. He was very thirsty. In summer the sun became very hot. The crow searched everywhere for water. But he found water nowhere. He became very sad.
