पराजयः विचारशक्तिं नाशयति — धीरस्य न।
Parājayaḥ vicāraśaktiṃ nāśayati — dhīrasya na.
“Defeat destroys the capacity to think — not in the steadfast person.”
At Kalpi — Regrouping
काल्पीनगरे लक्ष्मीबाई, तात्या-टोपे, रावसाहेब च मिलित्वा अयोजयन्। "काल्पी रक्षणीया — अत्रतः पुनः युद्धं करिष्यामः।" लक्ष्मीबाई अश्वारोहिणी दलम् नयति स्म। सा जानाति स्म — विजयः दूरे, परन्तु संघर्षः आवश्यकः। "यावत् जीवनम् — तावत् युद्धम्।"
In Kalpi, Lakshmibai, Tatya Tope, and Rao Sahib met and planned together. "Kalpi must be protected — from here we shall fight again." Lakshmibai led the cavalry unit. She knew — victory was distant, but the struggle was necessary. "As long as there is life — so long the fight."
