The Dark Forest After the Escape

Escaping through a tunnel from the house of wax, the Pandavas entered a forest. Exhausted — with mother Kunti — they rested at night. Bhima stayed awake as guard — the others fell asleep. Far away — in the great forest — was Hidimba's kingdom. Hidimba — a man-eating rakshasa — catching the scent of humans — said to his sister Hidimbi: "Sister! There are humans over there — bring me their flesh. I am hungry." Hidimbi went — but upon seeing Bhima — love for Bhima arose in her heart.
