रायरेश्वरमन्दिरे प्रतिज्ञा

स्वराज्यम् अस्माकं जन्मसिद्धम् अधिकारः।
svarājyam asmākaṃ janmasiddham adhikāraḥ.

The Long Walk to Raireshwar
शिवाजी (वयः पञ्चदश) तस्य सप्त विश्वस्तमावलमित्रैः सह सह्यपर्वतस्य उपरि रायरेश्वरमन्दिरम् प्रति अगच्छत्। मार्गः कठिनः श्रमसाध्यः आसीत्। धूम्रः कुहरः पर्वतान् आवृत्य अतिष्ठत्।
Shivaji (age fifteen) went with his seven trusted Mavale friends up the Sahyadri mountains towards the Raireshwar temple. The path was difficult and strenuous. Grey mist covered the mountains and stood still.
