The Ultimatum

Jyotirao's father Govindrao said — "Son, people are blaming me. You are teaching lower castes and women. Give up this work — otherwise leave the home." Jyotirao looked at Savitribai — the two were of one mind (ekamanaskau — एकमनस्कौ). "Father, forgive us. We will not stop (na viramiṣyāmaḥ)."
