adharmaḥ svayam nāśāya bhavati.

Sugrīva Challenges Vālī
रामः सुग्रीवम् अवदत् — "वालिम् द्वन्द्वयुद्धाय आह्वय।" सुग्रीवः किष्किन्धाद्वारि तारस्वरेण अवदत् — "वालि! बहिरागच्छ।" वालिः क्रुद्धः निःसृत्य सुग्रीवम् आजघान। सुग्रीवः क्षतः अरण्यम् अपलायत्। रामः तृणैः आच्छादितः वृक्षे अतिष्ठत्।
Rāma said to Sugrīva — "Challenge Vālī to single combat." Sugrīva called out at Kiṣkindhā's gate with a loud voice — "Vālī! Come out!" Vālī, furious, rushed out and struck Sugrīva. Sugrīva, wounded, fled to the forest. Rāma stood hidden behind a tree, covered with grass.
